Blue Onyx Horizons is an independent strategic advisory practice founded by Giadha A. DeCarcer, an entrepreneur, former CEO and Strategic Architect who has spent nearly three decades transforming ambitious ideas into organizations that can execute.
Meet the founder
Founder · Former CEO & Chairwoman · Strategic Architect
I've built companies, assembled teams, raised capital, managed budgets, led acquisitions, developed technology platforms and navigated the hard transition from founder-led execution to organizational scale.
My work spans international market intelligence, financial analysis, emerging technology and enterprise leadership. As founder and CEO of New Frontier Data, I grew a data and analytics business from its earliest stages into an international organization of more than 100 people, designing both the strategic direction and the operating foundations required to sustain it.
Today I advise founders, CEOs and leadership teams on choices that shape growth, resilience and long-term enterprise value. I also consider fractional and full-time executive leadership opportunities where my experience and the organization's mission are closely aligned.
Career foundations
Built an international analytics enterprise; led capital raising, acquisitions, digital product strategy, governance and cross-functional organizational scaling.
Led international strategic advisory work across market entry, competitive intelligence, institutional research and emerging-market opportunities.
Experience includes JPMorgan Chase, The Avascent Group and Washington Policy & Analysis, alongside entrepreneurship education and accelerator leadership.
Education & perspective
My studies include the University of Pennsylvania (B.A.), Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service (M.A.), and Harvard Business School's executive leadership program. Fluent in English, Italian, French and Spanish, I work across U.S. and European contexts.
I have also invested in entrepreneurship education and opportunities for women through initiatives including Women Entrepreneurs Re-enforcement and the InterCannAlliance's industry knowledge-sharing work.
